There may be a time that you want to have someone connect remotely to your system to assist with software or issues.
You will need a Gmail account to use this feature, if you do not have a Gmail address, you can create one for free with the following URL: Create your Google Account
To allow access to your system remotely, please follow the following steps:
- Open your web browser, Chrome preferred, and navigate to the following URL: https://remotedesktop.google.com/access
- Log into your Gmail account, if necessary
- If it is not already on the "Remote Support" page, click on "Remote Support" on the left side of the screen.
- Under "Share this screen" a download icon will show or a "Generate Code" button will be viewable
- If necessary, click the download icon to add "Chrome Remote Desktop"
- If the browser is not compatible, download and install Chrome and perform steps 1-3 again
- If necessary, click the download icon to add "Chrome Remote Desktop"
- Once Remote Desktop is installed in your Browser, click "Generate Code" button.
- Code generated is active for 5 minutes and will need to be given to the technician who is assisting you
This allows remote access to the system to assist with installing software or troubleshooting issues.
