If you are backing up an instance of Mozilla Firefox and want to Re-Import your saved credentials, you will need to enable the option to Import Passwords. To do this follow these steps:
- Open your Firefox browser and type
about:config
into the address bar, then press the Enter key on your keyboard. - If prompted, click Accept the Risk and Continue to open the Advanced Preferences screen.
- Type
signon.management.page.fileImport.enabled
into the search box. - Click Toggle to change the value from false to true.
- Close Firefox.
The import passwords feature is now enabled in Firefox and credentials saved in a .CSV file can be re-imported into Firefox
- Open Firefox and click

Menu (three lines) in the top right corner, then select Passwords. - Click
…
More options (three dots) and select Import from a File.... - Select the
.csv
file with the saved credentials and click Open. - Click Done.
Your passwords data has now been imported to Firefox.
